Re: Rose? Are you there....? |
Uh, it's not from me. It could be from Dan Healy, though. That kind of makes sense. At least as much sense as the rest of this thread ...
I'm confused.
I have to say, though, that with all this spambotting and my IP address, I do kind of feel like Rudolph. Poor Hermie and Yukon Cornelius think they've escaped the Bumble but he just keeps on coming, thanks to Rudolph: "We're trapped. It's my nose again. It's ruined us!"

Re: Rose? Are you there....? |
Oh yeah, I knew it had nothing to do with you...I couldn't think of anything witty to post in the midst of a spam storm, and it just occurred to me that if Dan were posting, he'd probably accuse me of being the cause of it all. My over interest in the Forum gals and such? He didn't like that I was always chumming it up with the ladies hereabouts...fear not.

Re: Rose? Are you there....? |
There's a forum Dan Healy? Cuz I don't think the original one would have an opinion on the matter. But I do see a certain similarity between the spam attacks and what was done on the soundboard in the 80s ... although you'll just have to take my word for it :-)

Ha! No wonder I ignore the 80s!
I often thought that the Forum Dan was...was...well, really, I thought it was one of the "good guys" just trying to make a point, and it wasn't so much about me slobbering over the ladies as it was about nonDEAD posts in general.
We'll never know!

So, as long as the Jezebels of Jedburgh and the Courtesans of Kirriemuir aren't vying for attention with the fascinating floozies of Fife, I should have no cause to be concerned with regard to Tellian dalliances, eh?

Holy Pune!
Methinks the XX contributors hereabouts now realize how utterly harmless I am...nonetheless, a Rob sighting could lead us spiraling off in every which way, eh?
;)...right back at ya ...
On a diff note, assume u saw the sad news bout bryanE? One of the nice guts here...

Ha--it's nice to maintain a sense of humor, and I am confident that BE would have no problem with this thread going south so quickly...jeezz, "guts"? Oh--okay, I guess the 't' is v close to the 'y' on the kybd...

Yes, I thought for a moment as i was typing that this was in bad taste, but decided that Bryan would not have worried too much about that since I was making fun of you and me and not doing so in a particularly mean way.

Re: Rose? Are you there....? |
Yes I did catch the news about Bryan. We had some contact outside this place and he came across as a very decent, likeable human being in correspondence. It's sad that he's gone, but I can certainly understand being in that frame of mind where you've had quite enough thank you of dodging the projectiles from the peanut gallery and decide to bring the curtain down.
As for this thread going south, it kind of started somewhere off the coast of Antarctica in the first place. I can see BryanE's admonitory eyebrow creeping upwards now...

Re: Rose? Are you there....? |
True--perhaps we should start keeping track...you know, with "thread specific GPS" measures?
Ya know, I posted this in the midst of one of our recent nightly "spam storms", and I think that far more than the events that drove away a few good posters (like BE), this could get OLD and FAST!
No one can compete with a "real" (automated?) troll, eh?
